  Tattoos are they for you?

  i was standing in line at the grocery store today and looked next to me, there was a woman about 60, its been 23 degrees celsius here so.

  the capri's are out.

  anyways you notice the legs and she has about a 5in by 4in tattoo on the side of her leg.

  Need Your Opinions on a Strange Private Mail I Received - Give Me Your Take

  so- 2 weeks ago i got this private mail from a poster who had never posted on the jwd board before .

  which seemed strange to me in , and of itself - what would cause this person to pm me ?

  anyway a poster named oak sent me this message : under the title : " did you know ?

  I have had the odd PM from someone that has never posted, but usually those are the ones that the mods remove as spam and a bunch of people got them too. I know others that get them, and if the person has no posts, they just don't respond. It's amazing how many people are registered here on JWD that never post.

  Summer Concerts-Who will you see?

  i am hoping to get tickets to poison for once.

  i will also be seeing george michael :) and yes, i will be buying myself a ticket to new kids on the block for a september show.

  How come the women's restrooms always stink at assemblies....

  i mean i use public restrooms...even gas station restrooms on occassions and they never smelled like the assembly bathrooms.

  i thought that they were suppose to be clean people????.

  just thought i'd ask....

  This is for DA's and CA's: Hot strong smelly amonia urine smell from the constant line of sisters and kids of both sexes using the women's restroom made me gag every time.

  White Dove - I am aware of the topic, and my answer still stands. Sounds like FHN and I had similar experiences. Bathrooms clean, busy, but always clean, there were always sisters in there cleaning, no overly offensive smells, no paper towel restrictions, no paper over the mirrors.

  I don't know where you all went for your DC's or who was there, but our restrooms were always kept clean, weren't overly smelly (come on people, it's a restroom certain smells are going to be there, sometimes things can't be helped), and we never were told to only use one towel or had our mirrors covered. BB

  Hot Food at the DCs past...What was it like?

  i came in to the "loving" organization when they had the nasty cold food so i dont know how good the hot cooked food was.

  my ex says it was pretty good, but should i have belived her?

  i would think hot food made for a happier time at least for the eaters.. brzfst.

  I don't remember hot food at the DC's, but I do remember the CA's. Saturday was always Veal Parmesean, mashed potatoes, a veg, a tossed salad, two cookies and a drink dished up on those stainless steel segregated trays. Sunday was roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, veg, tossed salad, two cookies and a drink. You could also get hot dogs, hamburgs, pizza, soup, sandwiches, fruit bags, and home made pie!!!

  Brotherly love in action ?

  kind of a strange experience here, maybe someone can make me see what's going on.

  my parents live in another state, to visit them would require at least a 22 hour drive, no trains, .

  planes are fine but since the airport is in the middle of nowhere tickets are getting quite costly ($$$$$$.

  Your situation is all too common. Something similar happened when my father fell ill, although there was no falling out with any brothers or sisters, but they had only been in that cong a few years when he became sick. My mother received no help from anyone in the cong. When she was talking to an elder friend in a different cong/city about the situation, he called her elders and said something. She did get some help, but it was because the elders were "shamed" into action. It took another elder in another city/cong to call and say "what's up with this" before they did anything. They actually told my mother "you made us look bad". It was their own "inaction" that made them look bad.

  You may have to do something similar, call and ask where the brotherly love is. My thoughts are with you and your family.

  Singing at the Meetings is so mindless...

  i was always uncomfortable singing at the meetings when i was a kid.

  as an adult, i rarely if ever sing anymore because i think it is a joke.

  sit down, listen for 45 minutes.

  I went to a few churches after leaving the WT, and wow, what a difference in the singing! People really put their heart and soul into the songs, and felt the words and lyrics and the meaning. Everything thing done at the KH is mindless.

  The District Convention is coming to my town... aka Grand Boasting Session

  ok, so while this doesn't really effect me since i'm df'd, it still bugs the hell out of me.

  i know their judgemental eyes, their cheap suits, and their equally cheap cologne (perfume) will be invading my downtown area soon.

  i'm not looking forward to this, because my girlfriend lives downtown too, and we enjoy doing things in downtown, and now, we're going to be dealing with traffic issues, long waits at restaurants, dealing with staring, etc.

  two weeks ago i got a phone call from logan's roadhouse.
